“I can’t wait to come back to my home state and rock out in our beautiful weather. I have lots of new songs to play and some great Nashville players with me!”
~ Edan Archer

Edan Archer’s sound combines smooth country soul with a rock edge that makes her music an alt country dream reminiscent of Margo Price’s work. She began her musical education at an early age and honed her skills at first at Berklee College of Music and then at the University of Florida.

This past year has been eventful for Archer as she has performed throughout the South-East in support of her EP. She was one of 6 artists chosen by SouthWest Airlines to participate in their Live @35 series, wherein she performed on a flight at 35,000 feet.

She and the program were featured in Billboard magazine, which identified Archer as one of “the most promising musical acts” from across the country.

She officially showcased at Americanafest 2017 in her new home base of Nashville and saw her EP gain radio play both in the US and abroad. Her new video for “Ain’t That Kind of Woman” (directed by Milcho, from MTV Latino and TLC) premiered on Ditty TV and continues to make waves in the alt-country and Americana market.

On her 2016’s debut EP “Cruel Mother”, Archer’s voice rises from the Everglades, sultry as sweet tea, crackling like heat lightning – all moonshine and honey. Combining rock and country with her roots in Appalachian folk, she gets gritty with distorted dulcimer or casting spells, intimate ballads and finger picking, alternate tunings and rich effects. The individual tracks demonstrate her diverse range and ability to be soft and lyrical at times (as is the case with the song “Boomerang”), and rough at others (like in “Ain’t That Kind of Woman).

Archer’s lyrics are a clear nod to roots rock with and range from intimate ballads to catchy country rock numbers accompanied by layered harmonies and traditional alt country guitar styles. Today you’ll find her promoting Cruel Mother which was recently featured at #1 on Amazon’s Singer/Songwriter chart.

Co-produced by Archer and Fernando Perdomo (Jakob Dylan, Emitt Rhodes, Andy Pratt), “Cruel Mother” provides an escape to an alt-country world and a clear message  to why she is gaining  some well deserved attention – including the nod from Miami New Times naming “Cruel Mother” one of the Best Songs of 2016, and calling the album “A Southern Gothic fever dream … with  gorgeous, harmony-laden country ballads alongside smoky dive-bar riffs.”

Archer has new record coming out this summer, so stay tuned!
